Award for US Advantage graduate
PRINCE2 is winning friends across the world and one of its most enthusiastic advocates is Richard Tucker in Washington DC
Richard’s enthusiasm has been recognized with a prestigious award in the United States. The Director of Client Services at ICOR Partners, a division of Acquisition Solutions, picked up the 2010 Capital Planning & Investment Control (CPIC) Award at the Annual Federal CPIC Conference in March in Washington, DC.
As the recipient of the CPIC Award for Innovative Approaches, Richard was recognized for introducing PRINCE2, to the US Government over the past year. Richard said that the acceptance in the US of PRINCE2 practices is proof positive that “centralized project management has no political boundaries”.
Richard became a PRINCE2 Practitioner in 2007 with Advantage Learning Ltd on one of the public courses we run in Washington DC. He’s been a singing the praises of PRINCE2 ever since and is the author of one of our own white papers.
Richard and Paul Atkin, Advantage Learning’s founder, co-presented the award-winning white paper to the 200 Federal CPIC professionals attending the conference. “It generated a lot interest and led to lots of discussion about PRINCE2’s role,” said Paul.
The paper shows how the PRINCE2 project management method supports US Federal government project managers as they deliver IT investments while satisfying requirements of the Clinger-Cohen Act and Capital Planning and Investment Control process. Request a copy of Richard’s award-winning paper here.
